Connect Airtel GPRS Internet in Linux via Cable

now adays mobbile phones have lot of features such as GPRS,Java support,memoricard and and so on. Most of the times we uses the internet from our mobile phone by conecting mobile to Pc/Laptop though cable by using Pc suit softwares for Windos XP, Vista, Windows 7.

But you dont have windos Operating system and you are using Linux or Unix then ???
Dont worry my friends I am going to tell you tell you the solution of that problem, To configure Airtel GPRS Internet in Linux by using Cable simly follow the steps given below:

1.Open the Terminal
Make sure it show file name
#cat /dev/ttyACM0

if this file not show it means your Phone modem is not support by Linux
If it show file ttyACM0 it means you phone is support or connect open the file
#vim /etc/wvdial.conf

3.Delete all the contents of file and Pest following Lines

Modem = /dev/ttyACM0
Baud = 115200
SetVolume = 0
Dial Command = ATDT
Init1 = ATZ
Init3 = ATM0
FlowControl = CRTSCTS
[Dialer airtel]
Username = a
Password = a
Phone = *99#
Stupid Mode = 1
Init1 = ATZ
Init2 = ATQ0 V1 E1 S0=0 &C1 &D2 +FCLASS=0
Init3 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP",""
Inherits = Modem0

:wq save and Exit

4.Open file
#vim /etc/resolv.conf
and pest
:wq save and Exit

5.Now open another terminal and run this command

#wvdial airtel

and minimized it

enjoy Internet Surfing through Linux
